The trees and wildflowers that have evolved over a long span of time on the slopes of the Asama Highlands make me keenly aware of the greatness and mystery of nature. As the population grows and nature continues to be lost, we cannot simply stand by and watch. Once a species disappears, we will never meet it again. That is why I earnestly wish to capture and preserve the fresh, precious beauty of these plants on paper now, while I still can.
