Midori 2027 Wall Calendar Sushi Calendar 31430006

A sushi-themed calendar that lets you enjoy a uniquely Japanese aspect of food culture. The calendar uses specially made Echizen washi paper and precise screen printing to recreate the delicate texture and freshness of sushi toppings. Each month features a different piece of sushi illustrated at approximately actual size, together with trivia about the topping in both Japanese and English. To make the white rice stand out against the natural color of the washi paper, the background areas other than the rice are lightly tinted. Detailed screen printing is used to express subtle textures, including the plump appearance of firefly squid, the crisp freshness of green onion shoots, and the distinctive texture of herring roe. New sushi designs are created each year, so even repeat users can enjoy a fresh selection. Also recommended as a gift for people overseas.
